Is the decision of the Nomination Committee final?
Is the decision of the Nomination Committee final? That’s a question we posed to U.D.P. Chairman Peyrefitte earlier today. He referred to a particular clause within the letter written by the chair of the committee to posit that the decision taken may be revisited at another time.

“Are these decisions final? I know you’re not a member of the Nomination Committee but I presume that you have an understanding of how these things work, the mechanics of it. Are these decisions final?”
On the phone: Mike Peyrefitte, Chairman, United Democratic Party
“I look at the letter and I see that the letter says at this time and I think that has a lot of meaning, even if it was intended to have a lot of meaning. It has a lot of meaning to say “at this time your application has not been approved.” I think that that leaves room for the Nomination Committee to say that we have reviewed his behavior, we have reviewed what he is doing now, he has complied with different things that they have in the letter and then at another time they can approve it. So I don’t think it’s final based on what the letter is saying but, like I said, I’m not in any of those deliberations, I’m not a part of that committee.”
