C.Y.D.P. has a new logo
The Conscious Youth Development Programme which has up to this point addressed the needs of young men is now reaching out to their female counterparts. C.Y.D.P. is holding a job training workshop for fourteen young women at the Lord’s Bank Community Center. C.Y.D.P. says the workshop, which runs until Friday, is designed to give the young ladies a chance to view their world in a new way as well as improve their social and economic status. A job training program for the young men of Lord’s Bank will be offered in December. In related news, the C.Y.D.P. has a new logo. Michael Adolphus took first place in a logo contest with his art work depicting the theme, “if it’s got to be, it’s up to me”. The lower sector of the logo represents the negative aspects of society going up in flames while the upper portion shows the positive contribution of the C.Y.D.P. The judges in the logo contest were Gilvano Swasey of the Image Factor and Ursula Smith and Leroy Meighan of C.Y.D.P.
