Shyne Says Patrick Faber Must Comply with U.D.P. Constitution
Party Leader Shyne Barrow also discussed the comments made by Vice Chairman Alberto August to News Five on Friday. August is on record criticizing the leadership of the United Democratic Party for failure to work effectively with other senior members of the organization. But, according to Barrow, the former U.D.P. chairman is also before the party’s ethics committee for remarks he, too, has made on social media.

“As former chairman of the United Democratic Party, Patrick Faber came down heavy on other people who openly criticized the party, against its constitution. Is this a case where perhaps one feels as if though the rules apply to some but not to others?”
Shyne Barrow, Party Leader, U.D.P.
“It would appear so and I would, my thing is to encourage reconciliation, encourage inclusion, encourage unity. So this doesn’t have to be, all the honorable Faber needs to do, unlike Mr. Cardona who was kicked out of the party, unlike Mark King who was in the National Assembly declared and he’s a former minister declared that he can’t run for the party, that’s not what I am doing. I am appealing with the honorable Faber as a senior member of the party to lead by example and let us show the party faithful and let us show the country that as U.D.P.’s we put our party and our country first.”
