Money missing at F & O

Story Picture
Earlier this month it was a San Pedro accounts clerk whose clever bookwork landed her a jail cell at Hattieville. A week and a half later, three Belize City gas station supervisors find themselves behind bars for their alleged creative business practices. Twenty-four year old Randolph Young, twenty year old Hector Staine and twenty-one year old Carlos Lara were arrested October thirteenth and charged on the fifteenth for the crime of theft. Over seven thousand, six hundred dollars went missing at the F & O Gas Station located at the foot of the Bel-China Bridge. According to manager Francine Marin, records show that the money was stolen between the third of July and the twelfth of October. Police say their investigation reveals that when receipts were made out, the copy from the book was also taken. Police say while the men were in custody the discarded receipts were found in a trash can at the gas station.
