Attention all visitors to the News 5 Website. Due to a malfunction by our main transmitter in Belize City Channel 5 has been off the air since Wednesday. Because we have no means of transmission, our newscast for Thursday, October 8th, has been cancelled. We hope to have the transmitter repaired by Friday, but if not, the next scheduled newscast will not be until the night of Tuesday, October 13th, as Monday is a public holiday (Pan American Day). We apologize for the inconvenience to viewers, particular those Belizeans who regularly turn to this website to keep current with news from home.
