Six Belize City Residents are Charged for Being Members of Gangs
Six Belize City men, from various neighborhoods, have been arrested and charged for the crime of being a member of a gang. Earlier today, twenty-year-old Jaheed Shamar Baptist, a baker of a Racecourse Street address, was taken into police custody where he was charged for his alleged membership in one of several criminal organizations operating in the city. Sometime later, twenty-two-year-old Shawn Anthony Humes was also detained and charged for being a member of a gang. Humes resides on Wagner’s Lane. Likewise, Clifford Anderson Junior, of McKenzie Lane, was also rounded up and slapped with a similar charge. Enrique Bermudez, nineteen-year-old Jahale Craig and twenty-three-year-old Marquis Conorquie, of CET Site, have also been charged for being gang members.
