PC Lorray Arzu Still on Life Support at K.H.M.H.
Police Constable Lorray Arzu remains at the K.H.M.H. as investigators try to close in on the gunman who shot her and Leonel Rowland. While she has undergone brain surgery at the K.H.M.H. and transported to the Belize Medical Associates for a CT-scan, word is that her condition remains unchanged since Thursday – that is that she is in a critical condition with unstable vitals and on life support. The two had just gotten into a Ford pick-up truck that was parked in front of Arzu’s apartment on Bishop Martin Street when a man with whom Rowland, only moments earlier, had a few words shot through the glass window on the driver’s side. Rowland suffered three wounds, one of which penetrated his shoulder and exited his face. Luckily for him, he is awake and talking. Arzu, unfortunately, suffered the worst of the hail of bullets, as she was struck in the head. Reports are that after he was shot, Rowland was able to drive off to the Southern Regional Hospital for medical attention.
