NEMO Highly Recommends You Remain in Place on Wednesday
And, the National Emergency Management Organization is highly recommending that residents remain in place and hunker down throughout Wednesday. According to Defour, major catastrophes could occur if there is too much movement during a weather system.
Shelton Defour, National Disaster Coordinator, NEMO
“We are being asked movement on Wednesday. NEMO advises minimum movement tomorrow, only for emergency services, critical situation, if you must be on the road. Because, what we don’t want to happen is for people to be on the road late, get trapped and we are trying to mount rescue during the hurricane. So, please heed this advice and warning very carefully. That was some of the things that affected us in the last systems.”
