Drive by shooting injures woman in Pink’s Alley

A drive by shooting in Pink’s Alley early Saturday morning, has left a twenty-eight year old woman hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the right side of her back. According to police, Michelle Gabourel was standing in the alley with a group of young men, when she was shot. According to eyewitnesses, a car sped into the alley around twelve twenty that morning, and as it approached the group, the people inside the vehicle opened fire. Gabourel, who made a run for it, was struck down, while her friends managed to escape. It is not believed that she was specifically targeted. Although residents through Pink’s Alley say they feel the shooting is gang related, C.I.B. says at this time they do not know what triggered the incident and presently have the matter under investigation.
