Police seek suspects in forgery
Belize City police are on the look out for two men whom they believe will be able to assist them in solving a case of forgery that took place between the first and eighteenth of August. According to C.I.B. officials, sometime during that time, one Max Tillett and Ervin Reneau walked into the Scotia Bank, Belama branch and cashed two checks, one made out to each of them. They were drawn on the account of Cecil Reneau. According to the bank’s manager, Janet Arnold, the amount of one thousand, five hundred Belize dollars was paid out to Ervin, who is the son of Cecil Reneau, while one thousand dollars was cashed for Tillett. Arnold said that it was not until several hours later that they found out the checks were forged. While police believe both Reneau and Tillett are somewhere in Belize City, they have not yet managed to find them.
