Policeman’s Vehicle Searched but Yields No Clues into Woman’s Murder
Almost a month ago, on October thirty-first, Celia Florian, a thirty-year-old businesswoman of Belmopan went missing. Her body was discovered off the Hummingbird Highway four days later and a post mortem thereafter certified that she died of strangulation. The police investigation has resulted in no charges against anyone, but of note is that a subject of their investigation was a policeman who was a friend of the deceased. However, as Commissioner of Police Chester Williams told the media today, there was no evidence that linked him to the Florian’s murder.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
“The woman, the victim is an acquaintance of a police officer and yes, we have looked at that possibility of the police officer’s involvement, but at this time there is no lota of evidence to indicate that the police officer is involved. It’s just a matter of he knew the woman and that’s it.”
