Basketballers lose second in a row in Venezuela
It was another heartbreaking night for Belize’s national basketball squad as on Thursday they lost their second straight in the Caribbean and Central American Games, this time to a tough team from Panama. The score was a decisive 108 to 86, although reports from Maracaibo, Venezuela say the team played hard all the way through. There was nothing positive to report for Belize in other sports as Mexico and Cuba battle for the medal lead, with Venezuela in third place. Thirty-two countries represented by five thousand, two hundred athletes are taking part in the regional competition.
