Denver Boy Injured During Horseback Riding, Mother Pleads for Help
Eight-year-old Stefan Keryan, a resident of Denver, Colorado is tonight hospitalised in a critical condition after an accident in Bermudian Landing last Tuesday. The boy was visiting Belize along with his family on a Carnival cruise line when they went on a horseback riding tour of the village. The fun family tour of the community somehow ended with a terrifying accident. The saddle on a horse was flipped and Stefan was being dragged by the foot down a path. Today, the Belize Tourism Board issued a statement saying that it is aware of the incident that occurred, but as this accident is an ongoing investigation, they “cannot discuss the details, and any questions should be directed to the Belize Police Department. The safety and security of all guests visiting Belize remain our top priority.” Over the weekend, Stefan’s mother, Heidi Keryan spoke with Denver ABC 7 where she was asking for help to transport her son to the U.S. here’s that report.
Peak Medivac, an air ambulance service in Englewood, Colorado has offer to airlift Stefan to the United States free of cost.
