“It feels amazing that my hard is paying off at this time and I can go and accomplish my future goals, further my education and hopefully do well in the sport. For this sport you need a lot of technique and strength, so like three days a week I do the gym. I have to head down the city to practice with my coaches. I have two coaches, Mr. Evans and one a Cuban. Mr. Evans helped me grow in this sport and Ms. Lisandra the Cuban, helped me with my spinning technique which you guys saw in the videos when I went abroad. I will be doing the Shot-put, the one with the metal ball, the four k and I will be Discuss. I did many sports in my life, like football and volleyball. But, when I met track and field I had like a special connection which helps you release stress. It is all about you. It is like yes you do team sport but with track and field the light only shines on you. It is up to you. If you make your mistake it is only you to blame, no one else. BK Sports crew Mr. Bryton and Berisford Codd, they sent my information out and we had many schools that came and contact me, for example Virginia University, Howard and when I spoke to the coach at Idaho and saw their programs and facilities I knew that was the school for me and I was very excited that they wanted me to come and join their new program.”
