Where is Akeem Augustine? Police Join the Search for Missing Man

There are still no signs of Akeem Augustine who disappeared without a trace on Christmas Day.  The twenty-seven-year-old Lake Independence resident left home on Flamboyant Street on December twenty-fifth to attend a party in the Jane Usher Boulevard area and hasn’t been seen or heard from since.  With every passing day, relatives fear that he may never make it home alive.  While searches have been conducted in the Port Loyola area, members of his family have also joined forces with the Belize Police Department to look for his remains in the vicinity of the John Smith Road.

“Yes, we know that Akeem Augustine’s common-law has reported him missing since Christmas Day.  From what I have been made to understand is that he may have been invited to a party somewhere in the Jane Usher Boulevard area and the persons who had invited him to the party were new friends of his, apparently.  Since then, he has not been seen.  Police, along with some of Akeem Augustine’s close associates and family members, had been searching the Jane Usher Boulevard area intensely since the report was made and so far we have not been able to uncover anything. We are hoping that we will be able to find Mr. Augustine alive.  So while we hope for the best, we still do anticipate the worst and I would ask the public, if there is anyone who may have any information in respect to the whereabouts of Akeem Augustine, to please feel free to contact us or to use the P3 app which the crime stoppers use.”
