Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

“I have been in direction communication with the regional security officer of the US Embassy as well as the director of the I.N.L. from the embassy and they have offered their support. I’ve kept them abreast of the investigation, every step of the way and they’re satisfied with what the police have done so far. Certainly if there’s a need for us to request special assistance from them, with any with respect of the investigation, we will do so. May I also say that the family members of the victim have also expressed their gratitude to the country of Belize and the police department for our swift action that has led to the arrest of the perpetrator, so we’re at least grateful and optimistic for that.”
