Police Find Human Remains Near Customs Premises

This afternoon police were summoned to an area behind the Customs and Excise Department on Caesar Ridge Road where they recovered what appeared to be the remains of a man. Police did not indicate whether there were any identifying objects, such as clothing found at the scene, but informed that the remains were transported to the National Forensics Science Service morgue for a full examination. Of note is that three men who went missing in Belize City over the past few weeks are still unaccounted for and deemed missing.  Twenty-seven-year-old Akeem Augustine went missing on Christmas Day, 2022, while twenty-three-year-old Kyle Latchman last seen on Boxing Day, 2022; and twenty-nine-year-old Christopher Sosa was last seen on January fifth.
