Ferguson to Ritchies Bus Line “ Change Starts Now, Sorry”

Rodwell Ferguson, the Minister of Transport, has offered an explanation for the termination of Ritchies Bus Line’s road service permit. Earlier this week, we informed you that attorney for the bus company, Orson Elrington, wrote to the Department of Transport demanding that the bus line be given a renewal of its permit. In his letter, Orson stated that Ritchie’s Bus Line has complied with all the terms and conditions of their permit over the fourteen years that they have held the permit. Well, according to Minister Ferguson that is not the entire truth. He says the bus company has been providing less than adequate services to commuters.

“How much of you guys ride bus to go to work? So is it comfortable and convenient for you? Foe the last two years I became the Minister for Transportation I came in here because I wanted to show you improved transportation across the country. And the only way it can be done I gave these operators two years to show me that they want to make a transformation. After two years I don’t see anything. You all came to me in December and said Mr Ferguson new things are happening in transport. I told you soon you will see things happening. Now, an operator gets revoked because of discrepancies and buses not road worthy. Suppose a major accident happened with that bus you would come to me and say Minister Ferguson how you make deh bus run and you the talk you want change. So the change starts now, sorry.”
