Business Man Fights Off Armed Attacker in San Pedro

Also in San Pedro, a man is in police custody on charges of aggravated assault and firearm charges after allegedly attacking a businessman. According to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, the incident occurred on Saturday while the businessman was standing at the gates to his hotel. He was able to preserve his life by successfully taking the firearm from the alleged perpetrator. ACP Romero told us more.

“On the fourth day of February 2023, Ahmad Harmouch reported that while he was opening the gates of his hotel he was approached by a male person who pulled out a fire arm and pointed at him. The person also threatened him at which a struggle ensued and Harmouch managed to take the firearm from this person. The police was called and the firearm was retrieved and the person was detained. Ruben Lauren has since been arrested and charged with Threat of Death, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of Firearm while under the influence of alcohol.”
