More guns stolen in Cayo
It may not have been as audacious as the Brodies theft, but when it comes to guns, a political candidate in Cayo has reported a robbery of epic proportions. Fifty-year-old San Ignacio businessman Ainsley Leslie, who is also the P.U.P. candidate in Cayo North, told police that on the afternoon of May thirty first his house at Cahal Pech was broken into. Stolen was a small arsenal consisting of a Remington pump action twelve gauge shotgun, a Mossberg pump twelve, a twelve gauge Remington automatic shotgun, a ten gauge automatic shotgun and a Ruger point two-two-three rifle. Total value of the guns is slightly under five thousand dollars. The good news is that all the weapons have been recovered and two men have been detained as suspects.
