Accents Gift Shop robbed in broad daylight

The attack on the business community is relentless and Belize City police are looking for two suspects following another armed jacking in broad daylight, this time against B.E.L. But the incident did not take place at the headquarters; instead, the robbers attacked one of the utility company’s outlets. At around two-thirty on Wednesday afternoon twenty year old George Hoare was at Accents Gift Shop on North Front Street along with a co-worker when the crooks entered and held them up at gunpoint. The gun-bearer, who reportedly disguised his appearance by wearing a hood over his face, pulled the gun from his pants waist. His accomplice ordered everyone to the floor and stole Hoare’s cell phone, then entered the BEL office inside the store and commandeered roughly thirteen hundred dollars from the cash pan before making a clean escape.
