Byron Broaster is Charged for Stealing a Pickup Truck
Fifty-nine-year-old Byron Broaster appeared unrepresented earlier today before Senior Magistrate Baja Shoman where he was read a single charge of theft. The Guatemalan/Belizean, who is homeless, claims to be on medication for a mental condition. Nonetheless, it is alleged that on March seventh, 2023, he dishonestly appropriated a Mitsubishi pickup truck valued at thirteen thousand dollars. The vehicle is the property of Geraldine Fair-weather. No plea was taken from Broaster, as the court prosecutor requested that the court considers his soundness of mind given his behavior when being addressed. The senior magistrate agreed and with that remanded Broaster to the Belize Central Prison where a psychiatric evaluation will be done by April twelfth.
