Jamaican Dancehall artist visits Belize

If you haven’t yet made plans for the weekend, here’s something that might be of interest to you. Jamaican Dancehall artist Sean Paul, fresh off a performance in the Bahamas arrived in the country today for a whirlwind tour and will appear at one of Belize City’s popular nightspots.

Q: “What will the audience expect when they visit the Millenium Nightclub?”

“Well the Millenium Nightclub have it own vibe fi itself whe right now with Sean Paul in there is different thing you know. It’s a big vibe Sean Paul di bring. We have the crew back home in Jamaica. A new crew whe wah start wah new style of deejaying and dem way deh. Di crowd know some a mi tune dem ina Belize. Probably dem know “Gimme a try,” “Inflitrate” and “Baby Girl”. Ah ha wah latta new tune dem, you know, to give the crowd and work with Belize. Me a hear seh dem step up mi career and mek me involve like wan big artist and dem way deh so.”

Q: “What kind of style do you prefer?”

Sean Paul

“D.J., Dancehall music, you know. Me listen to all types, all influences but that’s the way I express my music, ina Dancehall.”

Q: “And this, is this your first visit to Belize?”

Sean Paul

“Yeah, it is and it reminds me a lot like how home stays and it feel like home arreddy.”

Following his performance at the Millennium Nightclub, Sean Paul and his entourage will head back to Jamaica for a scheduled performance on Friday night.
