Baby dies suddenly in Belize City park
A nineteen month old baby girl has died suddenly and mysteriously in Belize City. The child, Ishella Menjivar, of Cemetery Road, was playing in the park Monday evening under the supervision of her mother, twenty eight year old Petrona Cruz. Cruz told police that around five thirty Ishella suddenly fell to the ground gasping for breath. Rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, the baby was dead on arrival. A post mortem gave the cause of death as asphyxia.
