Man faces twenty-two charges for fatal traffic accident
Back in November, an SUV driven by twenty-eight year old Luke Cox collided into a van filled with tourists. Fifteen persons were injured and one fatality was an infant girl, who happened to be Cox’s daughter. After spending months in the hospital, today Cox was well enough to be arraigned on charges in connection with the accident. He faces a whopping twenty-two charges including Manslaughter by Negligence, causing death by careless conduct, and negligent grievous harm. The offence is indictable, so no plea was taken. Cox was released on bail of five thousand dollars and his case was adjourned until March seventeenth. The accident occurred between miles eight and nine on the Northern Highway. Cox was heading towards Belize City when reports are that he swerved into the lane of the van carrying Carnival Cruise passengers.
