March Madness Comedy Show at the Bliss, Featuring International Comedians

The March Madness comedy show is set to take place on Saturday night inside the Bliss Centre for Performing Arts. The event will feature performances from a host of local comedians, as well as two international acts, Eva Evans and Trixx. The headliner touched down in Belize today. We spoke with both comedians briefly about their expectations for this weekend’s show.

“First of all shout out to Delroy for bringing me here earlier. Most promoters are cheap. They bring you in the night of the show and you are out morning, you don’t even get to see where you are. But, he brought us in early so we could get a taste of your country. He has got a, we are going to see a basketball game, some night clubs, he already took us to someone’s restaurant. I don’t know the name of the restaurant but I got, what was it, ducunu? I know I look tired right now, forgive me people. I have been on a flight all night, but once I rest I want our national beer, your national rum here, I want more food, I want to see more of the women. You guys have some very pretty women here with all their teeth, all their teeth you know. It is a joy. Look at that, another woman with all her teeth. It is beautiful to go somewhere and see women with all their teeth.”

“This is my second time in Belize, my first time doing comedy. My first time was two years ago for my thirtieth birthday. I actually turned thirty in Belize. I went to Kay Cooker.”

“Caye Caulker, San Pedro and yeah right. My first time in Belize I felt right at home, the welcome and the warmth of the people, so I just know it is going to be a continuation of that, that is my expectation. Belizean people heard I was coming and flooded my Instagram with love.”
