Collet Area Representative Says Much of this Government’s Projects Were Started Under the U.D.P.
Faber went on to criticize the government for taking credit for projects that began under the last administration. He conceded that it is a practice for governments to do so, but that the current administration is capitalizing off initiatives that were already in the pipeline before they came to office.
Patrick Faber, Area Representative, Collet
“The Prime Minister’s address cited several examples of ongoing and completed projects that were initiated by the U. D.P. The fact that the Prime Minister takes no shame, the Minister of Education nuh got no shame. Dehn goh cut ribbon for schools all over the place, when dehn never got nothing fi deal with it. You’re obliged to do that. All I’m saying, you’re obliged to attend this ceremony, give credit to our credit, is due. The Prime Minister takes no shame, Madam Speaker in claiming them as his government’s achievements and this is disingenuous and it lacks integrity. The way I choose to describe it, Madam Speaker, is that they are brazenly, snatching the fruits of others’ labor. They embody the essence of creative parasites. They’re not afraid of you – outright. Watch the STEAM initiative. I could never believe them. You’d think that they conceived it the way they speak about this STEAM initiative. The Prime Minister mentioned it in his – my goodness, I came to this Honourable House years ago. The loan was approved years ago.”
