Horace Popper Knocked Down and Killed in Ontario

Two other persons lost their lives in separate road traffic accidents out west. On Friday night, Horace Popper was knocked down and killed by a taxi driver around mile fifty-one on the George Price Highway in Ontario Village. Guillermo Garcia has since been served with a notice of intended prosecution. Today, ASP Fitzroy Yearwood shared the details of the accident.

“Sometime around ten p.m. in the Cayo District where police visited a scene at fifty-one and a half miles on the George Price Highway where they saw the motionless body of Horace Popper, thirty-one years. Initial investigation reveal that Guillermo Garcia, fifty years Belizean taxi driver was driving his vehicle in that area and upon approaching miler fifty-one and a half, he ran over Popper who was lying on the highway. At the time of the accident, visibility was poor and Guillermo was detained, served with a NIP and hopefully we will be levying charges upon Mister Garcia.”
