Another Suspected Drug Plane Vanishes Near Southern Belize

Did a suspected drug lane that local law enforcement officials tracked overnight from South America land in Toledo District on Monday?  That’s what the Belize Police Department and its counterparts are seeking to confirm.  According to Commissioner of Police Chester Williams, the aircraft’s flight pattern was being monitored closely after departing from South America sometime last night.

“We did have an aircraft in our airspace last night.  As a matter of fact, we hardly got any sleep because we were monitoring that aircraft from it left South America and it vanished in our airspace in the Toledo District.  At this time, I am not going to say much in respect thereof because we do have officers on the ground conducting operations and I wouldn’t want to jeopardize the operations being conducted at this time.”
