ComPol’s Brother Does Not Get “Family Pass” Following Defamation Allegation
A police officer in Seine Bight Village filed a report against the brother of the Commissioner of Police, Arthur Williams, accusing him of defamation through a social media post. Well, the report reached the desk of the Commissioner of Police and he gave his officers green light to detain and charge his brother. ComPol Williams provided further details.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
“I was notified indeed that there was some complaints and it reached me and I said to the police if it is that he has violated the law then you must do what needs to be done. The fact that you are the brother of the commissioner is does not make you immune from liability if you break the law. I think that the police officers did detain him and he was to be charged. I have seen some for the video footage he posted on social media and I myself find them to be very offensive. So, the police just needs to do what needs to be done. I can tell you that even me, sometimes he blast me to. But, that is the nature of him. He is my mother’s child. I cannot disown him. He continues to be my brother.”
