Belize Head Extraordinary Board Meeting of CENPROMYPE

Belize, represented by Doctor Leroy Almendarez, chaired an Extraordinary Board Meeting of the Regional M.S.M.E. Promotion Center on the eighteenth and nineteenth of April, as President Pro-tempore. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the progress of the center’s agenda by member countries. Prior to the start of the meeting, there was a collaborative launch between the centre and the Valley University of Guatemala. According to a release on the outcome of the meeting, this regional alliance should deepen the work undertaken by entities, focused on women in entrepreneurship in Belize and Guatemala, under the support program funded by the Republic of China (Taiwan). Another feature of the meeting was an update on the La Idea Incubator Project, made possible with support from the U.S. Department of State, with the intended goal of promoting trade between Central America and the United States.
