Bacab Eco Park Loses Structures Valued $700,000 to Arson

Two structures at Bacab Eco Park, valued at seven hundred thousand dollars in total, went up in flames on Monday night. Police are currently investigating the incident as a case of arson. According to reports, fifty-nine-year-old Govanni Smith, the owner of Bacab Eco Park, told police that two male persons were seen entering the park on a motorcycle. They allegedly set the building on fire. A.C.P. Hilberto Romero tells us more.

“Around seven thirty p.m. police responded to reports of a fire situation at Bacab Eco Park situated at the Burrell Boom junction. Upon arrival they observed two wooden buildings engulfed in flames. The fire department responded and the two buildings were completely destroyed by fire. Initial investigation revealed that a motorcycle was seen entering the area with two male people and thereafter the buildings were seen engulfed in flames. The two male persons fled from the area on the motorcycle. We are conducting investigations into the fire. The two buildings are valid, one at three hundred thousand and one at four hundred thousand dollars. There are several leads we are following up on and whatever information we get we will follow it up but that is all the information we have.”
