Car Dealer Charged with Attempted Murder of Bus Conductor

Twenty-seven-year-old Howard Reyes, a car dealer of Burrell Boom, was arraigned for attempted murder, use of deadly means of harm, aggravated assault with a firearm and wounding following a shooting incident in Saint Paul’s Bankon Tuesday.  This morning, Reyes appeared before Senior Magistrate Tricia Pitts in the company of his attorney where he was arraigned on four counts stemming from the altercation.  On Tuesday night, police responded St. Paul’s Bank following a report of a shooting.  They then visited the K.H.M.H. where they saw twenty-four-year-old James Perry, a bus conductor, suffering from a gunshot wound to the hip.  It is believed that Perry was injured while walking home, following a misunderstanding with several persons in St. Paul’s Bank.  Police were tipped off on the vehicle that was driven by Reyes, and that’s how the arrest was made.  Inside the Chevy Equinox, police discovered a nine millimeter expended shell.
