Radiologist Charged with Sexual Assault of Patient

A radiologist from Punta Gorda Town has been charged for sexual assault, following a complaint that was brought against him by a patient.  Back in March, a twenty-three-year-old woman wrote to the Ministry of Health and also forwarded that complaint to the ministries of home affairs and human development.  According to the woman, she attended clinic to undergo an ultrasound.  During the examination, the radiologist, identified as Desmond Arzu, reportedly assaulted her.  At the time, the Minister of Health and Wellness acknowledged receipt of the letter and told the media that the incident was being investigated.  On Friday, police arrested and charged thirty-nine-year-old Desmond Arzu with the crime of sexual assault.
