US police find heroin in mail with Belize return address

Chicago police have a half kilo of heroin in their possession and it might be linked to Belize. Thirty-seven year old U.S. citizen, Ryan Jaime, was busted with the package on Tuesday and was arrested in Country-Club Hills. The drugs were wrapped in plastic and hidden between two children’s books and a photo album, with dryer clothes to mask the smell. But the federal authorities were not fooled; they replaced the heroin with a fake substance and planted a trigger device to alert them when the package was opened. That device also provided a location and led the feds directly to their culprit, who was charged today. So what’s the link to the Jewel? Well, the return address on the package was a Belizean location. It has not yet been ascertained if the return address is legit, but the possibility of heroin being shipped from Belize, only tarnishes the country’s image on the international scene.
