An Update on Belize Government Lotteries Limited

The Briceño administration has registered Belize Government Lotteries Limited, the company that will soon administer lotteries in the country. The day-to-day functioning of B.G.G.L. will be overseen by a managing director and a committed team of employees. The organization will have four master agents strategically positioned in different regions across the country, ensuring efficient operations.  Prime Minister John Briceño says it is his hope to launch the new government lotteries in the next few weeks.

“I’m hoping the next few weeks. We did not want to do anything before. Because we really tried to work with Brads. We are constantly reminding them where they have not been meeting the legal obligations that they signed on. And they didn’t. So until that time came that we found that they had no intentions of doing that, we ended that agreement. And so now we are in the process of working on the app. And then looking at setting up the company. While we already registered the company, now we have to get members from the board of directors and get the master agent.”
