Minor Stabs Minor in Broad Daylight

A teenager was stabbed in the vicinity of the Pound Yard Bridge on Saturday and the alleged perpetrator is another male minor. The incident followed an argument between the two as the victim was walking in that area along with another minor. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Hilberto Romero, who is the Regional Commander of Eastern Division, shared the details with the media today.

“On Saturday, the twenty-seventh day of May, 2023, police responded to a stabbing incident at the Pound Yard in Belize City. Upon their arrival they found Jayden Tucker with a stab wound to the ribcage area. Investigation revealed he was in that area when he was approached by another male person who made certain allegations of him. Thereafter they got into an argument and the male person proceeded to stab him. He was taken to the K.H.M.H in a critical condition. He has been treated and he is now in a stable condition. The suspect in this matter handed himself in this morning. They’re all minors and they had some argument over one of them calling the other a particular name. That is what led to the confrontation and thereafter the stabbing occurred.”
