ComPol Says Imari Galvez’s Family Is Holding Back Useful Information
It has been two weeks since the murder of Imari Galvez in the Cayo District. The nineteen-year-old’s body was discovered off the Hummingbird Highway three days after she went missing. Police have not yet made an arrest and today, Commissioner of Police Chester Williams said the investigators are having some challenges in getting useful information. He’s believes the family of the victim can assist more than they are now.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
“There are certain things that we need to assert and we believe that the family do have answers or more answers to the questions that we are hoping to be answered. And so far I can say that the family is not as forthcoming as we want them to be. And, we believe that they’re withholding information that could assist the police in this matter. One, I can’t understand – the way how their home is situated, I don’t understand how she would’ve left home and they don’t know. I don’t want to indict the family or to say anything that is going to cause more grief to them, but certainly we believe that they are holding back information that could assist the police in that matter. We have narrowed down to one particular suspect. I’m not gonna say who that person is at this time. But there’s a person of great interest that we’re focusing on, and we are almost sure that he is the person responsible for heard it, but there are still certain things that we need to confirm and we’re hoping that we will be able to confirm those very sharply.
