Tourism Numbers Almost Back to Pre-COVID Status

Tourism numbers for Belize continue to climb, but the figures are still not quite back to where they were pre-COVID. But that time is just ahead, according to Minister of Tourism, Anthony Mahler, who said the difference is just a fraction between what they were then and what they are now. He shared those figures with us today.

“I just got the numbers yesterday and we’re about 91 or 92% of where we were 2019. Revenues have gone up, an important K.P.I is that the length of stay has gone up significantly. So from 6.4 days to almost nine days, which offsets the numbers that we haven’t reached back as yet.”
