Clay on Northern Highway endangers motorists

A broken pipe was not the only problem on the Northern Highway as motorists continue to complain of danger caused by tons of clay which have been spilled on the asphalt surface by careless trucks. For the past week dump trucks have been filling several acres of land near mile four. Drivers arrive either too full or pull out onto the highway with material still dripping from their open pans. In any case the rough surface has been enough to send several vehicles off the road, particularly at night. A number of accidents have been narrowly averted on the messy stretch of road, and it is hoped that the situation can be corrected before it proves fatal.
