Belize Athletics Association Preparing for Upcoming Track Games

…and the training continues. President of the Belize Athletics Association, Jaheed Smith says that the win is encouraging and with additional support, the athletes will be ready to compete in other regional and international competitions.

“It is very encouraging. Later on in the year, we have another competition coming up which is the infant championships where younger athletes than them. They will go between November and December; we usually do good there as well. But we have couple upcoming events. We have the CAC Games in July. We have the Commonwealth U-20 in Trinidad; that’s in August. And we also have the NACAC U-23; that is in July as well. So those are events that we plan to go out there, participate, do our best and let the chips fall where they may.”
