An Assortment of Drugs Discovered in Burrell Boom

A sizeable quantity of an assortment of illegal drugs, including cannabis, cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin was confiscated during an operation in Burrell Boom Village on Tuesday evening. Law enforcement officers conducted a search in a bushy area where they found sixty-six parcels of suspected cannabis.  An additional search of the area yielded twelve transparent plastic bags containing suspected cocaine, and three transparent plastic bags containing suspected heroin.  The items were weighed separately and the suspected cannabis amounted to one hundred and fifty-six and a half pounds, the cocaine came up to forty-two point four grams, while the crack cocaine and heroin amounted to one hundred and twenty-four point eight grams and fifty-two point two grams, respectively.  The quantity was secured and deposited as found property.
