Man detained in San Pedro burglary
It is believed by many that crime in Belize City may actually be decreasing, but the same cannot be said of the tourist haven of San Pedro. In the latest incident on Ambergris Caye the office of the local high school was burglarized last Thursday. According to principal Angel Nunez, between three thousand, five hundred and four thousand dollars were taken. Today police announced that they have detained a 17-year-old student, Sergio Uribio, a resident of the San Pedrito area of the town. They claim to have recovered seven hundred and seventy six dollars of the stolen loot.
