BHPL Cashier Robbed in Parking Lot
A daring robbery was carried out this morning in the parking lot of Belize Healthcare Partners Limited, here in the Old Capital, and investigators are trying to determine if it may have been orchestrated from within. According to the cashier, she was about to leave the medical facility to make a deposit when she was accosted by someone who shoved her to the ground and made off with an undisclosed sum. The money, says Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero, was contained in an envelope.

“This morning, there was a robbery at Belize Healthcare Partners. A cashier reported that she was at the parking lot getting ready to go and make a deposit when she was attacked by a male person who pushed her down and took the envelope containing some cash. Thereafter, the male person fled in a vehicle from the area. We are reviewing footage and the matter just occurred this morning, so we don’t have any further details.”
