Boat theft in Caye Caulker
In crime news: police in Caye Caulker are trying to solve the mystery of a boat and fittings from two others which disappeared between two and eight a.m. Sunday. Nineteen year old fisherman Earl Smith was first to raise the alarm around two o’clock when he could not find his outboard motor that was attached to the skiff he had docked in front of his house. Four hours later, seventy three year old Robert Marin reported that thieves made off, with not only with the engine, but also with his skiff. The third incident was reported at eight a.m. when thirty Seven year old Efraim Novelo couldn’t find the outboard motor that was attached to his boat. The collective value of the stolen items is an impressive fifteen thousand, eight hundred dollars and authorities advise that if anyone knocks at your door trying to pass off any of these items to call the nearest police station.
