Saldivar says he is proud of his work in Cayo South

s Five’s attempts to get comments from the two men at the center of the allegations were unsuccessful as Belisle was not in office and Saldivar, we were told, is out campaigning with the Prime Minister. In a recent television program produced by RECONDEV however, Saldivar said he saw no problem, constitutional or otherwise, with what he was doing.

“I feel that RECONDEV resources should be used to help people not only in Belmopan, but throughout the country. And since I have a special interest in the people of Cayo South, I saw no problems in using the resources of RECONDEV to help the people within the constituency. Sources are available at RECONDEV, I see no reason why they should not be used, I feel that for too long many politicians have sat by, and sat unidle?resources which they have chosen not to use for the benefit of the people, finding all kinds of excuses why these resources should not be used, but in my case I have not found any excuses, I have used RECONDEV resources to help the people within my constituency.”

It is not known what the P.U.P. will do if the Prime Minister’s response is not to its liking.
