Anthony Sylvestre is Sworn in as New Attorney General
A new attorney general was administered the oath of office this morning in Belmopan, before Governor General Dame Froyla Tzalam. Anthony Sylvestre’s appointment as chief legal officer took effect on July first, succeeding Senior Counsel Magali Marin Young who held the post for just over two years. Prime Minister John Briceño was on hand for the brief swearing-in ceremony and congratulated the new Attorney General. In turn, AG Sylvestre thanked P.M. Briceño and the Cabinet for giving him the opportunity to serve the people and the Government of Belize in that capacity.
