Woman Asks for Help for Abused Sister
A woman took to Facebook this week to ask for help for her sister after she was attacked and brutally beaten, allegedly by her common-law husband. Jamile Bodden-Henry wrote as part of her post, asking that the justice system doesn’t grant the accused bail, after having viciously attacked her sister with a knife. Bodden-Henry included several pictures of her sister, Herminia Collins showing wounds to her face, arms, neck, and knee, which she alleges were inflicted by her brother-in-law. She makes the case that her sister and her children are fearful for their lives because he frequently physically abuses them. News Five understands that Herminia Collins has moved out of the house and is at a safe location away from her common-law-husband. By the post, the accused was supposed to appear in court today to face the latest charge related to the incident. Police have not yet issued any details of the incident. We’ll follow up the story on Thursday.
