Jamaal Stevens Charged for Attempted Murder of Coast Guard Officer

A second suspect has been arraigned and remanded for the attempted murder of coast guard officer Daniel Sabido, following a brawl at the Elton Gillett Park in Burrell Boom Village last weekend. Twenty-three-year-old Jamaal Stevens, a construction worker of that community in Belize District, joins thirty-eight-year-old Adrian Myvett who was also denied bail and remanded to the Belize Central Prison.  Stevens was taken to court late Monday evening where he appeared unrepresented before Magistrate Brown in Courtroom Number Four.  He was read a charge of attempted murder and use of deadly means of harm. Stevens and Myvett will return to court on September fifth, 2023.
