U-15 National Boys Football Team Prepare for CONCACAF Tournament
Today, the Football Federation of Belize officially presented the members of Belize’s Under-Fifteen National Football Boys Team. The team is scheduled to depart from Belize on Friday to Colombia for a twenty-day training camp. Thereafter, the team will travel to Curacao to compete in the CONCACAF Under-Fifteen Tournament.
Dale Pelayo, Head Coach, U-15 National Football Boys Team
“The U-Fifteen National Team started in February. They trained up until April when the guys went up and competed in the UNCAF U-Fifteen Tournament in Costa Rica. Our performance was not what we wanted but they gained that experience. So, when we returned from Costa Rica we continued to train with these guys and brought in some additional players to help strengthen the team. So today was the presentation of that final list of eighteen players who will be making it to Colombia for the training camp and then to Curacao for the CONCACAF U-Fifteen Tournament.”
Marlon Mesa, Player, U-15 National Football Boys Team
“For me it is such a pleasure to be a part of this process that we are in and being a part of the Belize national team. It brings so much joy to me.”
Paul Lopez
“What is your message for other young boys who aspire to be on the national team?”
Marlon Mesa
“I would just like to tell them to work hard. That is all, you just need to work hard and you can show your talent. If you put in hard work you will succeed in life once you put in the work.”
